Your heart does not listen to your mind. It feels like it even has a mind of its own..
You can give the best advice in the world and yet not follow it yourself because what you believe is right, is not necessarily what you want to feel.
Your mind deduces and calculates what is right and what is wrong. Whereas your heart feels what is right and what is wrong.
Which is more correct? If I give advice I don’t follow, does it mean I should not give that advice or does it mean what I want to do is not right?
I believe a lot of people have this conflict and it causes internal confusion. If you’re looking for an answer, in my opinion I would say that both is right.
The heart is the instinctful childish side of your thoughts where the mind embodies the learned, sensible and structured thoughts. Neither is more correct but you have to live with both.
Too often I have seen people that ‘believe’ in one side and only rely on one side for all the decisions in life. I can go into examples but if you take a moment to consider both mind and heart you may realise sometimes in different situations different side is better.
In life you can only make a wrong choice if you take advantage of people so as long as your thoughts are not about that, let yourself wild and try to listen to both sides for once and take chances. Close your eyes and follow your heart, think it out and make logic trace out your path. Do both.
Don’t be a grumpy Joe of structure and stiff logic but don’t be the ditsy Daisy of thoughtless endeavours.
Life is about balance and balance is what brings true and lasting love and happiness.
